On the move again

After far too long sitting on the hard, then sitting in a marina fixing things, we have made it up to the Bay of Islands. A 3 day trip. Mostly not enough wind, but then plenty of blow and a horrible sea for the last bit, felt very queasy. Not used to it. Looks as though there is a good window for leaving on Tuesday (to Vanuatu), so that's the plan. There will be quite a group of us going as the weather has been pretty bad for the last month with fronts coming in with very little gap in between them. Have made a Vanuatu flag today, it requires a bit of embroidery for the motif in the middle, and G's been struggling with some satin stitch while I'm writing this! About an 8 day trip probably.
The boat behaved itself pretty well except for a bit of a leak in the engine bits that G hoped that he had fixed. As they don't make our model of engine any more it is very difficult to get some of the spare parts.
