We are in the trade winds at last. Position at 2.30GMT 06 40 S and 100 28 W No motoring in the last 24 hrs, and we have SE winds of 10 - 15 kts so are sailing well with genoa, main, staysail and mizzen up. Our best 'point' of sailing. Average speed about 6 kts, and we have closed a bit on a couple of other boats in the area.
Caught a nice little mahi mahi yesterday, enough for 2 meals. Also dawn brought a collection of flying fish and squid that have landed on the boat overnight - not good eating but very good bait.
